Reese & Bloom Artistry Co.

Handcrafted reflections of memory, light, and life.

At Reese & Bloom Artistry Co., every piece begins with a memory — a fragment of light, a passing season, a feeling too delicate to describe. Founded by artist Erin Smith and her mother Kim Reese, our studio grew from a shared love of creating beauty with our hands and honoring the simple poetry of everyday life.

We believe art is a vessel. It can carry emotion, time, and meaning — things that words often fail to hold. A painting, a ceramic form, or a stained-glass bloom becomes a bookmark in life, a way to pause and remember. These works are not just objects for display; they are keepsakes of thought and spirit, meant to be lived with and passed down.

Our practice blends traditional craftsmanship with an intuitive, modern sensitivity. Erin’s oil paintings explore softness, color, and movement — a study of light and memory in physical form. Kim’s ceramics and glasswork bring structure and permanence, grounding the ethereal with earth and fire. Together, our work reflects the harmony between fragility and endurance — between the fleeting and the timeless.

Reese & Bloom exists to help others reconnect with their own memories and emotions, to remind them that beauty still lingers in the smallest moments. Through clay, glass, and paint, we preserve those quiet reminders of life’s fragility — transforming them into something lasting, something that continues to bloom.

Kim Reese

Stained Glass Artist

Kim sees the world through light, color, and glass. Her stained glass work is inspired by global travels, blooming gardens, and the flowing elegance of Art Nouveau—especially the dreamy lines of her favorite artist, Charles Rennie Mackintosh.

For Kim, creating art has always been a way of life. Co-founding Reese & Bloom Artistry Co. with her daughter, Erin, has made that journey even more meaningful. Her work reflects the stories, memories, and beauty passed down through generations.

When she’s not in the studio, Kim is exploring the world, cherishing time with her grandchildren, or drawing inspiration from the people and cultures she encounters along the way.

Erin Smith

Reese & Bloom is a collaboration between my mom and me, blending her stained glass and fusing artistry with my ceramics and painting. Our name reflects both family and inspiration—Reese for her family name, and Bloom because we are moved by the beauty of life, growth, and creativity.

At the heart of my work is a love of florals. I’m currently creating a series of floral oil paintings, documenting the process as it unfolds. If I weren’t an artist, I could happily spend my days as a florist—growing flowers, cutting them from my garden, and arranging them. My connection to florals and greenery first bloomed (pun intended) during my years as a wedding photographer, when I was captivated by the way flowers, arrangements, and light could transform a moment—just like the vessels that hold them.

After years of working full-time as a nurse practitioner while raising children—roles I treasure but that left little time for my own passions—I’ve been given the unexpected gift of space. Since moving to Louisiana, I’ve had time to reconnect with myself, to nurture my creativity, and to breathe again.

I’m excited about the future of Reese & Bloom. My new studio is on its way to becoming a creative sanctuary, where I can return to pottery, craft vases, and build arrangements that inspire new paintings. This journey feels like both a return and a beginning.
